The weather

Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a particular place and time.

Clouds can tell us what type of weather to expect: dark clouds indicate a storm, while white clouds indicate clear skies.

Wind often makes you feel colder. An extremely strong wind is called a hurricane; a strong wind is called a gale; and a light wind is called a breeze. Air temperature can be low (cold), mild (warm), or high (hot).

Heavy or light precipitation falls in the form of rain, hail or snow. Precipitation determines if the weather is rainy or dry. Depending on geographical climate, the weather changes every season: Spring has mild temperatures and usually rain, Summer is hot and dry, Autumn has falling temperatures with frequent precipitation, and Winter is cold and snowy.
